Both wine lovers but also wine professionals, we want to share our passion with our guests. Sylvia is a French sommelier, who keeps a soft spot for Champagne from her Parisian years, and has worked for more than 10 years in Mallorca introducing many visitors to some of the best wines of the island.

Wolf is one of the founders of Wein & Vinos-Vinos.de, one of Europe´s largest Spanish wine distributors. He held the first Mallorcan wine fair in Berlin over twenty years ago, when Mallorcan wines were just starting to emerge on the international wine scene. For the past 5 years, he has been spending long seasons on the island to obtain a deeper knowledge of the wine and food scene Mallorca has to offer.

For the elaboration of our wine list, we are honoured to count with the collaboration of the Master of Wine Romana Echensperger. The Institute of Masters of Wine is the home of exceptional expertise in the wine world. Today, there are 416 MWs based in 31 countries, each making their own contribution to the world of wine. Romana is one of the 9 professionals from Germany that has been named Master of Wine to date.

Mallorcan Wineries

From only a few of wineries in the 1990s to more than 100 today, Mallorcan wines are now present in most of the best wine lists around the world. Mallorcan native varieties as Mantonegro, Callet and Giró Ros alone or blended with foreign varieties like Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, have proven that they have an amazing potential and can offer a wide range of wines that can please some of the most demanding palates, and compete with the best wines of more renown wine regions. Our wine list offers over 160 references of Mallorcan wines.

Champagne

Champagne is always a good idea! Perceived as the wine of happiness and celebration, we firmly believe every day should be celebrated and what better way to do so than with a glass of Champagne, ideal to unwind and enjoy your vacation. The rumour says that the first bottles of Champagne that made it to Mallorca arrived directly to Sóller, due to the strong historical maritime connection existing between the village and Montpellier and Marseille. The Sóller Valley is still often referred to as the “French Valley”, so it makes sense to us to offer one of the biggest French symbols to our visitors. With over 150 Champagne references, our wine list is one of the most extensive of the island.

Wine tasting at the finca

Indulge yourself to an afternoon of fine wine and tasty appetizers! Wine tastings are organised twice a week and include an introduction to Mallorcan wine history and the tasting of 6 handpicked wines from different vineyards of the island, served with a charcuterie and cheese board.

Mallorca & Wine: the wineries and their stories

As early as the 7th century BC, the Carthaginians were pressing grapes on the Balearic Islands. The Roman Pliny thought that the wines of the islands were on par with the best Italian ones. More recently, Mallorca has experienced an enormous boom as a wine island. The number of wineries increased within 25 years from barely a dozen to almost 100. With better cultivation and cellar technology as well as international grape varieties in addition to the traditional Mantonegro, Callet and Premsal Blanc, a large number of high-quality wines have emerged. Excellent wines can also be found outside the quality wine regions (Dos) of Pla y Llevant and Binissalem.
