Join us for our annual gastronomic weekend, where one line up of winemakers and specialty guest chefs will deliver a range of culinary experiences, all paired with a selection of international benchmarking wines presented by Master of Wine Romana Echensperger, who will also give a Master Class on Mallorcan wines. The 3-day wine tasting and fine dining event will also include a visit and lunch at Bodega Ribas, one of the most prestigious wineries of the island, as well as a tour and lunch at the famous Aubocassa olive grove and state-of-the-art mill during olive harvest season. Through the different activities you will get the opportunity to taste over 45 wines such as growers Champagne up to the Prestige Cuvée "Cristal" from the Champagne house Louis Roederer. In a blind tasting we will compare and contrast iconic wines such as Supertuscan Ornellaia, Bordeaux 1er Grand Cru Classé Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Opus One, one of the first American wine sold through "négociants" on la Place de Bordeaux alongside the elite classified growths, and many others with the best wines of the island to see if Mallorcan wines can compete with the best wines in the world.

Places at this event are very limited. A maximum of 10 participants will enjoy the comforts of Finca Can Coll Boutique Country House.

14h00/18h00 - Check in at Finca Can Coll Country House Sóller with welcome glass of Champagne Louis Roederer Collection 243.

 

18h30 - Apéritif with Champagne Cristal de Louis Roederer. Meet your hosts and fellow guests.

 

19h30 - Dinner at our Table d’Hôtes, from Chef Kiko Martorell from Restaurante Can Boqueta (Sóller), paired with 8 Mallorcan wines presented by MW Romana Echensperger, for a first encounter of the island’s wines.

What is your relationship with Mallorca, specially with Sóller and why did you fall in love with this island ?

I did a season in Mallorca as a sommelière about 9 years ago. I immediately fell in love with the island and the special spirit of the people here. It is this mixture of l'Art de Vivre and entrepreneurial spirit that inspires me. Sóller is wonderful because you can experience the breathtaking nature of Mallorca.
